An IIT Bombay alumnus and software program industry veteran has been named CEO of a major US agency that produces an engineering simulation software program to evaluate product designs across a wide spectrum of industries, such as rockets and wearable generation.

Ajei Gopal, 54, becomes the CEO of Pennsylvania-primarily based ANSYS effective from January 1 next year. Gopal, a 25-yr generation industry veteran who has served as a member of the ANSYS Board for the reason that 2011, has been appointed President and Leader Running Officer of the agency effective at once and will hold on to serve on the Board.
